We always have many beautiful cats of all ages in care needing a new start in life in loving permanent homes.
Kittens and cats up to the age of 2 years old are very popular, but we usually have lots of older adult cats too who also deserve the best life we can find for them. The average life expectancy of a cat is 15-16 years old, so an 8 year old cat still has many good years to come.

There are many reasons why cats come to us - some of them have been left behind when their owners moved away, handed into us when a baby is born and the cat is no longer wanted, and some, sadly, have been mis-treated while others are not wanted as they are getting older. Some of our cats have had a difficult time, but they all deserve a loving, secure home.  If you have a kind heart, please consider one of our lovely cats who needs a helping hand in life. Thank you.

NB : All cats in our care are neutered (if old enough), fully vaccinated, microchipped, blood tested, worm and flea treated and Vet checked to ensure they are perfectly healthy when they leave us for their new homes. The Adoption fee for adults over 6 months old will be £75 and helps towards these costs.
In line with Cat Protection policy our Adoption fee for kittens up to and including 6 months of age is increasing by £20 from from August 1st 2022. A nationwide CP review of Adoption Fees across the CP network is currently being undertaken. Any kittens reserved but not yet adopted will be homed at the previously set fee. Kittens are provided wth full cost vouchers for neutering when old enough.

Thank you so much for considering a Gwent Cats Protection cat or kitten x
