Little Joe
By East Neuk of Fife Branch

Little Joe was found trapped inside a large box of junk by two volunteers after they heard his faint miaowing. The three-week-old kitten was tangled in twine and plastic bags and squashed under some shears which had fallen on him.

After freeing the tiny, cold and nervous kitten from the box, they took him to the vets; it was not known whether he would survive. After leaving the vets, Joe was taken into the care of the branch and with months of care and attention, soon became stronger.

Apart from a small amount of scarring from the twine, Little Joe has now completely recovered and is a normal, healthy cat with no lasting damage. Thanks to the dedication of our volunteers, Joe has now found a loving new home and is getting up to lots of mischief!
