Tabby takes a tumble
A New York tabby has landed on her feet after falling 12 stories from her owner’s apartment. Surprised vets found that nine-year-old Copper had only broken her paw after such a big fall.
Late at night, owner Angela Lang was about to give a snack to her two cats, Copper and Daisy, when she realised that Copper was missing. It seems that the adventurous feline had managed to squeeze through a window which was open just three inches.
"I didn't think she could fit through the window," said Angela. "She's never done anything like this, but she is the explorer of the two cats."
Copper was not found until the next morning when the building’s service manager, Juan Dominguez, spotted her on a garage roof.
“She was scared, cowering next to the wall," he said. "Then we started to move fast to help her. It's a miracle," he added, "I would have never thought the cat would survive that."
Copper is now reunited with Angela and Daisy and reported to be doing well.
Angela said, "It's just remarkable. They said they didn't think she would make it. The vet called her a miracle cat. She's a real fighter."
