Support us

Lea Valley Cats Protection always welcome new friends.  At the moment we really need people to:

Become a Friend of the Branch.  If you are unable to contribute to our work as a volunteer, you can still make a difference by becoming a Friend of the Branch and donating £7 per year (concessions £5).  Simply email enquiries@leavalley.cats.org.uk and we will send you a form to complete and return.  Alternatively, call 0333 567 4746 or write requesting a form to: Friends of Lea Valley Cats Protection, 145 Chase Side, Enfield, Middx. EN2 0PN.

Remember Lea Valley Branch in your will.  It is thanks to the wonderful kindness of people who remember Cats Protection in their wills that we are able to carry out much of our day-to-day work. These gifts fund half of everything we do and are vital to our work helping abandoned and unwanted cats and kittens.  Above all, we rely on gifts in wills to help us keep the special promise that underpins all of our work: that we will never put a healthy cat to sleep. You could help us keep our special promise and care for even more cats by leaving us a gift in your will.  We are incredibly grateful for every gift we receive, no matter what the size.  Even the smallest gifts help us to provide cats with food, a warm bed, veterinary attention and most importantly of all, find them a loving home.  We can continue our vital work if kind people like you support us in this special way.  Click here to find out how.

Become a cat fosterer.
Do you have room in your home / garden to help us look after the cats till they find a home? We need people to become fosterers and care for the cats (all food and materials are provided) until we can rehome them. Why not talk to one of our current fosterers who can tell you about the role?

Could you be a home visitor? We need to visit potential new homes before our cats are placed in them to assess the suitablity for our cats or kittens. Full training is given.

Become a cat trapper. Not as bad as it sounds! We need people who have patience who can go out and help us trap cats who may be feral who might need our help. You would need your own transport.

A feline transporter - Someone who can drive cats around Edmonton / Enfield and Hertfordshire. We always need help getting cats from place to place, whether it is helping a vulnerable person's cat to the vets, or getting rescued cats to the safe haven of their fosterer.  Could you help us?

Fundraiser - Can you help us raise money?  Without money we could not function.  We receive no outside funding; all the money we spend, we need to raise ourselves.  If you have ideas which would help us raise funds, then please get in touch.

Shop volunteer - If you could spare some time to work in our shop in Chase Side in Enfield for a few hours we would love to hear from you.

Sponsor a cat - If you cannot own a cat, why not sponsor the cats that pass through our Adoption Centre pens?  See our 'Sponsorship Page'
