How you can help

You are here: Home > Adopt a cat

Adopt a cat

All cats from the Luton, Dunstable & District Branch will be:

  • Vet Checked on admission
  • Blood tested if at risk
  • Treated for fleas and wormed
  • Neutered (if old enough)
  • Vaccinated where required
  • Microchipped

This will cost on average over £150 per cat, excluding any other costs for food and keep.

Cats Protection asks adopters for a fee when re-homing a cat. If you feel able to make a donation on top of the fee that would, of course, be gratefully received. We know times are hard so thank you for your decision to re-home a CP cat.

Click on the link for details of just some of the cats/kittens currently looking for new homes. We often have other cats avaialable whose photo's and details have not been added to the web page yet. In addition to the cats on our web site we also have several other cats needing to be re-homed in what we call a “Direct Homing” situation. This is where a new home needs to be found for various reasons, but the cat can remain in its current home until that new home is found. We would put the potential new owner in touch with the present owner but that’s all Cats Protection involvement would be, often this is a more suitable option for the cat and sometimes this option applies when we are full. Please contact us if you require more information on cats available through a Direct Homing.
