Success stories

This is where we would like to share just some of the many great stories we have of rehoming injured, stray and unwanted cats & kittens from our branch of Cats Protection.

FIZZY CAT
Fizzy Cat has been in her new home for exactly a year now, October 2011 and this is what she has to say about her new life of luxury -
My mum, her children, her grandchildren and her friends ALL love me. Mind you they love the rolling on the back and tucking myself up on their chest, the rubbing of the face on their chin, gets them every time! My mum cannot understand how the last 'owners' could have treated me so badly - give love, get love, that's what my mum says! I have such lovely things to eat, she does a lovely steamed fresh haddock and gives it to me just warm - mmmmm lovely!!! In February we had a new addition, a puppy. I decided that this little thing was fine, hissed a bit on her arrival but decided that she was ok and is great at playing. I have got her to do all sorts of games, we really are great friends.
Life is just grand here, there's no going back for me!

TIGERLILY TIGERLILY
Tigerlily came into CP care along with the rest of her siblings in June 2010, she was the last of the litter to find a loving new home. Here is what Sarah, her new owner had to say shortly after Tigerlily arrived "After spending the first day under the fridge, she's gradually become a really confident, sociable little cat. She hasn't been fazed at all by lots of family coming round and she's brilliant with the boys, who love her. She's already happily going in and out of the house, she tends to follow me around a lot (she's a mummy's girl!!) and she has become a lap cat in the evenings too! I think she is one of your success stories! Thanks so much for helping us find a family pet"

SPOT SPOT a.k.a PIXELSPOT SPOT
This has to be our biggest sucess story of 2010. Spot Spot came to us as a semi feral cat as initially he was very wary of people, once he was neutered and recieved lots of T.LC. he did improve slightly but he remained with us for quiet a few months before being adopted by Steve who had this to say about Spot Spot, now called Pixel "He's doing very well, he's recently been seen marking territory (spraying) around and about, so perhaps he intends to stay! He still spends the night in his 'den' in the spare room, during the day he's out and about, but turns up for a snack at lunch time and again for dinner, then he's off again until we come back from the pub with Max (the dog) and there he'll be waiting for us.He's quickly made 'friends' with next-doors dog, a Jack Russell, she won't even go in her own garden if Pixel is out and about. He's had one 'run in' with a local resident feline that we know of, but generally they seem to be keeping out of each others way."
