Capt'n Cat Sparrow & the Motley Crew

Capt

Saturday 2nd July was the date of St Mary’s village Carnival at Edlesborough and the theme this year was Pirates. Our branch loves a challenge and this event was no exception. We booked a stall, hired the CP wind machine again and entered our newly wrapped CP van into the carnival procession. We all dressed up as Pirates including Capt’n Cat Sparrow who was extremely hot in his costume whilst walking the two mile procession route on this very hot and sunny day.
The whole day was fantastic!
The Motley Crew won 2nd prize in the adults / charity floats category and during the parade collected lots of pieces of eight. The wind machine was another great success with lots of players which raised lots of money for our cats in care. People flocked to our stand to have photo’s taken of themselves with Capt’n Cat Sparrow and the pirates. Thank you to everyone who supported us and visited our stall.
