A group of the Midwarwickshire branch volunteers (left to right: Corinne Fitzgerald, Chris Osborne, Gareth Severs, Julie Seymour and Jamie Perry) travelled down to the National Cat Adoption Centre for the Volunteer of the Year Awards to see our Fund Raising Officer Julie Seymour receive her Fabulous Fundraiser Award. This award was presented to Julie by professor Tim Gruffydd-Jones, Deputy Chairman of Trustees of the Cats Protection. Although Julie was additionally up for the overall Volunteer of the Year Award, she unfortunately was just ‘pipped at the post’ by Heather Cook who has 28 years experience of working with the charity and a very worth winner. Supporting a very active branch, Julie constantly strives to raise as much money as possible to ensure that the branch can help as many cats as possible. Julie took to her fundraising role with complete enthusiasm which has never left her. She plans a busy fundraising year, and most weekends can be found with her yellow gazebo somewhere in the Mid-Warwickshire area. Her tombolas are very special and raise thousands of pounds for the branch over the year.
Julie is a true perfectionist; her stalls and tombolas are always of a very high quality, giving an excellent image of Cats Protection.
Well done Julie, you have done our branch proud!
