Duke of Edinburgh Volunteers - update
31 May 2017
Our Duke of Edinburgh volunteers have recently started a project to find good homes for cats that wouldn't be happy in a domestic environment. Six of the cats in our care have recently gone to outdoor homes where they have regular food, care and somewhere safe to sleep but can roam free – and help keep down the rodent population.
After a teach-in on mailshots and targeting, the enthusiastic volunteers sent posters to local garden centres and nurseries, and have just sent letters to 60 farms in the MK postcode area to see if anyone is interested in 'housing a mouser'.
This is what Ben has to say:
'Today we went to Parcelforce and met Keith who taught us about about getting the word of Cats Protection out to people and businesses across Milton Keynes. We are continuing our search for homes for feral cats – we'll keep you updated!'
