Volunteer of the Year 2008

To recognise and celebrate the incredible contribution that our 7,000-strong network of volunteers makes to the lives of cats across the UK, Cats Protection launched our first-ever Volunteer of the Year Awards.

The awards were open to any person who has shown particular dedication and support for Cats Protection in a voluntary capacity. Nominations could be made by anyone, including members of the public, family members, other volunteers and Cats Protection staff.

Nominations are now closed. The awards have the following categories (please click the links below to find out more about each category):

Each of the four category winners will receive a silver Cats Protection badge and a framed certificate, while the overall winner, the Volunteer of the Year, will also receive a trophy engraved with their name and the year.

All shortlisted and winning nominees will be invited to the Cats Protection AGM on 11 October 2008 for a presentation ceremony, where they will be formally recognised for their contribution to the charity.
