Rules and conditions

Here are the rules and conditions for the Volunteer of the Year Awards 2008, please read them before making a nomination:

• Nominations can only be made for individual volunteers – not couples or groups
• Each entry will be judged on its own merit
• Multiple entries for a single nominee will not carry more weight
• You may enter as many individual volunteers for the categories as you wish – please use only one entry form
• Please do not send in supporting materials, such as documents or photographs with your nomination as we cannot guarantee their safe return
• The closing date for receipt of entry forms is 31 August 2008
• Shortlisted nominees will be notified in mid-September
• All shortlisted and winning candidates will be invited to the Cats Protection AGM on 11 October 2008 at the National Cat Centre in Sussex
• Winners will be announced at the Cats Protection AGM, on the charity’s website and in The Cat magazine
• The judges’ decision is final. No correspondence can be entered into
• Winners may be asked to agree to co-operate with any Volunteer of the Year Awards publicity undertaken by the charity
