The fundraising team are delighted to let all our volunteers, supporters and cat-lovers in general know how well the branch has done in the run-up to Christmas.
Bridget Harper has this report: ‘Our stall at the NEC Cat Show in November raised over £400, and can shakes at Asda and Tesco raised over £1,000 between them. The Christmas bazaar on the first Saturday in December raised £1622.23 with can shakes on the same day swelling funds by another £100-plus.’ So big thanks to all those involved – volunteers and the generous general public who believe the work we do for needy cats is vital. Without you all the branch would struggle with its welfare and homing efforts – we need all the help we can get!
A HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO ALL OUR 'SANTAS LITTLE HELPERS' throughout 2011 - STAY WITH US THROUGH 2012 !
MORE PLEASE! Like Oliver Twist, we always want more. Fundraisers Sue and Bridget are on the prowl for more volunteers, especially can-shakers. So if you can spare a couple of hours on set days and times do please contact us. It’s fun, there’s great camaraderie amongst like-minded keen cat folk, and the events are great for raising much needed cash. And we're always happy to tog you up in a cat suit if you're the extrovert type - it makes a big difference to how much money we raise and raises a good laugh too!
