Remembering us in your Will

It is thanks to the generosity and kindness of those who remember Cats Protection in their Wills that we are able to continue our day-to-day work. These special gifts fund more than half of everything we do and are vital to our work helping abandoned and unwanted cats and kittens.

Above all, we rely on gifts in Wills to help us keep the special promise that underpins our commitment 'never to put a healthy cat to sleep'. You could help us keep our special promise and care for even more cats by leaving us a gift in your Will.

We are incredibly grateful for every gift we receive. Even the smallest gifts help us to provide cats with food, a warm bed, veterinary attention and - most importantly of all - help us to find them a loving home. So many of the cats and kittens we help are funded by gifts in Wills, and it is wonderful that people 'remember the cats' in this special way.

How to remember THE NORTH BIRMINGHAM BRANCH of Cats Protection in your Will ...

While some supporters remember Cats Protection and make a gift or legacy to the national charity, those involved with North Birmingham - as volunteers or supporters - may wish and prefer to remember the Branch and 'give' for the benefit of the charity's work in their own locality.

If you would like to leave a gift to the NORTH BIRMINGHAM BRANCH, then the following wording will assist your solicitor in drawing-up or amending your Will:

I give to Cats Protection, National Cat Centre, Chelwood Gate, Haywards Heath RH17 7TT, Registered charity number 203644 (England and Wales) and SC037711 (Scotland), the sum of ……. and I express the wish but without creating a binding legal obligation that the legacy be used for the benefit of the North Birmingham branch and the receipt of the proper officer of the charity shall be sufficient discharge for my Trustees.

If you are a cat owner you will naturally want to make sure that someone is there to look after the cat or cats you love should something happen to you. If this is so, you may wish to consider registering with our Cat Guardians service. If you register to this service, and include a clause in your Will about these arrangements, then we promise to care for your cat(s) in the event of your death and find them a loving new home.
