Rehoming Success Story: Mini & Peeps - Jan 2023

Mini & Peeps (previously Millie & Jess) had been in the care of North Herts Cats Protection in 2022.  We homed them to a loving forever home, and their adopter describes and shows just how well they have settled into their new home:

Attached are some photos of Mini (Millie) and Peeps (Jess) after settling in with us.

Mini and Peeps have been an absolute joy, which must be a testament to the care and attention they received from North Herts  Cats Protection after they were rescued with their mother and four siblings at 3 weeks old. They are bright, affectionate, confident kittens. After we brought them home with us they had their own room for 4 weeks, during which we spent time with them, playing and sitting with them every day. Initially, to build trust, we sat on the floor after food and play, and they would come and settle on our legs. They were very sociable, happily welcoming any visitors and showing no fear or nervousness. They would have, what appeared to be, vicious fights, but the fights didn’t spoil their close relationship, as often they would be robustly grooming each other after eating. When we allowed them the run of the house they followed us around, from room to room, often in parallel. Generally they prefer to be with us rather than in their own room/safe space. They have quickly learnt how to climb curtains and mug us at our meal times, but also they still come to snuggle on our laps for hours at a time, often in a heap, one sitting on top of the other.

Thank you to Cats Protection for the amazing work that they do to rescue and rehome cats.
