The branch is run entirely by unpaid volunteers who are dedicated to making the lives of cats and kittens in our area better. Every penny we raise goes directly on the cats in our care, including the vets bills, our cats and branch activities
We rescue, rehabilitate and re-home cats and kittens, currently looked after by our fosterers in eighteen outside pens located in Briston (6), Dilham (5), Hemsby (1), Hethersett (2), Mundesley (2) and Stalham (2). In an emergency we can also foster kittens in the home of one of our volunteers in North Walsham. Before our cats and kittens are homed they have had a health check at our vets, are vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, and micro-chipped and neutered (if old enough). We are committed to finding loving new homes for all our cats and kittens, howeverlong it takes and we never put a healthy cat to sleep.
All enquiries for cats (either for taking in or offering a home) should be made direct to 01692 535858 or by using the “Contact Us” form. However, our preferred method of contact is by telephone. We do have an answer phone so please leave a message if Stephanie our Co-ordinator is not available to take your call. As Cats Protection now require a fee from adopters when re-homing a cat Stephanie will discuss this when she speaks to you. Our priority is still to find loving new homes for our cats.
