The story of Alice

Alice
The story of Alice (in her own words) what a clever cat

Blossom (Alice) was handed into our care because her owner was moving and could not keep animals in her new accommodation. She soon found a new home with a family who had recently lost their cat and being a very clever girl wrote this poem to let us know how she had settled in.

Oh just a line dear Stephanie
Of thanks for looking after me,
And now my former home is gone
You’ve found me yet another one.

Where I am loved and groomed and fed
I have a warm and cosy bed,
There are no worries, doubts or fears
I’m greatly loved by two old dears!

My name was Blossom when we met
You took me to your friend the vet,
Then from the care of your dear hand
I’m Alice now, in wonder land!

I’ll write again some other day
To let you know that I’m OK.
Keep up the work you do so well
For we will of your hard work tell.

I wrote and asked Alice whether she would mind if we printed her poem on our website and asked her new family if they could send us a photograph. This was her response.

In answer your quest Christine
Here I am all smart and clean
With picture yes, for your web site show,
To tell the world I am alright

I am a posh girl, yes I know
But you can on your web site show,
It won’t convey my blissful state
Please rest assured I’m doing great.

I’v found much care and warm affection
Thanks to North Walsham Cats Protection
Just go on site now everybody
And give a home to some poor moggy!
