Liath was brought into foster care by our trapping team. She was dumped at an abandoned mill probably because she was pregnant. She had raised 2 kittens and when our volunteers went to trap feral cats, Liath walked right up to them and then led them to her kittens. She and her babies received vet treatment straight away and they were fostered for some weeks before her kittens found new homes.
Liath was in poor shape when she first came into our care, she was also pregnant again and it was felt as she was living rough that she would probably not have survived another pregnancy. She gave birth to 6 lovely kittens who have all been chosen by new families and Liath herself has gone to a lovely new home with one of her babies.
She is now in beautiful condition, her fur has grown back and her coat has a glossy sheen once more. She will always have a weak chest and may have some coughs or colds in the future, but this was explained to her new family before they adopted her and they are happy to give her a second chance.
