Edinburgh & The Lothians Regional Neutering Campaign

Cats Protection is running a neutering campaign in the EH1 – EH55 or ML12 postcode areas. Under the campaign you can get your pet cat neutered for just £5.

If you receive a state benefit, are on a low household income or are a full time student or pensioner, you should qualify for help.

To get your cat neutered as part of this campaign please call 03000 12 12 12 option 2, or go to your nearest vet listed on the below map - zoom in and out and click on the pins for the contact details of your nearest vets.

The campaign only covers the cost of the neutering operation and any extra costs will need to be covered by the owner.

The campaign only covers pet cats and stray cats (where exhaustive efforts have been made to find an owner). If you have a feral cat, they cannot be neutered using the campaign, please call Cats protection Neutering Helpline directly on 03000 12 12 12 option 2 and they will be able to advise you on what help they can offer - you may be referred to your local branch (this phone number is charged at local rates).

Peebles

WE NEED YOU!

We are all very proud of our Branch – we have rescued, re-homed and raised the profile of hundreds of cats in need in recent years, but it would not be the success that it is without our volunteers - from fosterer's and fundraisers, to  drivers, cat matchers and distributors - and there is always so much more to do.   We really do need you!

All Cats Protection branches and adoption centres ask adopters for a fee, which may vary. Peebles adoption fee is set at a minimum of £50 when re-homing a cat. If you feel able to make a donation on top of the fee that would, of course, be gratefully received. Thank you if you decide to re-home a CP cat! Each cat that is taken in by us, fully vet checked, inc  microchipping vaccinations, and neutering,  fostered, and then re-homed & costs over £100 per cat / kitten   (Please remember, we will not re-home a cat or kitten on a main road.)

To avoid any confusion, Cats Protection is not linked to the Edinburgh Cat Protection League, which is a completely independent charity.
