2023 SNIP & CHIP CAMPAIGN

Have your male or female cat neutered and microchipped for £10!

 

The average cost for neutering and microchipping is around £105 for a female cat and £95 for a male cat. With this campaign, if you are eligible, you pay only £10 per cat and Cats Protection will pay the balance of the cost to the vet on your behalf. We ask that if you are able to pay more, then please consider making a donation to us to allow us to continue with this campaign. You can do this in a variety of ways including via our website at https://www.cats.org.uk/donate?b=207 or by posting a cheque, payable to Cats Protection, to us at c/o 7 King Street, Perth, PH2 8HR. Thank you.

 

How do I apply?

Telephone our helpline on 01738 700070, leave a message with your name and phone number and then when a volunteer calls you back, say you are interested in the “Snip & Chip” campaign.  You will need to give us a note of your full name and address including postcode, details of your eligibility, and the name, age, sex, colour and description (short haired, long haired, etc - we need this info for the microchip register) of your cat(s) and state the name of the vet you wish to use (see below for details of vets taking part). Alternatively, click on the Contact Us button above and include the same information in your message. We cannot accept your details via Facebook messenger.  We will then log your details and ask that you book your appointment.  Full instructions will be given to you when you are contacted.

 

Who is eligible?

This offer only applies to addresses in the PH1 to PH18 postcode areas and some KY postcodes, at our discretion.  The offer only covers domestic, owned pet cats aged at least 3 months old. The guidelines for eligibility for this campaign apply to one or more of the following; receipt of certain means-tested benefits, low household income, full-time students living away from home, state-only pension and pension credit. Proof of eligibility will be required in order to participate in the scheme.

You must call your choice of vet to book the appointment, please do not just turn up with your cat(s). You must pay £10 direct to the Vets when you drop off your cat for their appointment.

 

What if I have more than 1 cat?

There is no limit on the number of cats, male or female, per household, please just let us know how many cats you have when you contact us.
