Have you seen our new look van?

Peterborough Cats Protection’s branch van has undergone a makeover to help spread the word about the number of unwanted cats and kittens in need of new homes.

The van has a new look graphic with the wording ‘make your house a home’ and a striking image of a playful ginger cat on a new beige colour scheme.

Pam McNicol, branch co-ordinator, explains why the new look van is so important: “The branch van is key to all the work we do. From running cats and kittens in foster care to the vets, to collecting animals which are coming into the branch, to transporting cats to homing events, it’s used by volunteers on a daily basis.

“We hope that the new look van will attract some attention and that when people see it they might be encouraged to adopt a feline friend of their own.

“In recent months, we have been absolutely inundated with unwanted and stray cats and kittens, and at the same time we have seen a fall in the number of cats adopted. We have limited spaces so we can only take in new cats when others have been adopted and our waiting list currently stands at about 50.”

The branch is holding a homing event this Sunday, 21 August from 11am to 12.30pm, at St B’s Hall, Main Street, Yaxley, where people can come and meet the cats and kittens that are ready to be homed.
