Could you give a cat a forever home?

Peterborough Cats Protection will be holding a homing event this Sunday, 3 July 2011, for people interested in adopting a cat to meet those that are ready for new homes.

Pam McNicol, coordinator, said: “We have a number of cats of all shapes and sizes who are looking for forever homes. If you are thinking of adopting, then come and see us this Sunday to meet our cats.

“We have been inundated with unwanted cats and kittens over the past few months, and until some have been adopted we can’t take any more in as our spaces are very limited.”

The event is being held at St B’s Hall, Main Street, Yaxley, Peterborough PE7 3LZ between 11am and 12.30 pm.  Anyone who can’t make this time but is interested in adopting and wants to find out more can call the advice line on 0845 371 2750 for further information.

Anyone adopting from Cats Protection can be assured that as far as we can tell they are homing a healthy animal.  All adult cats are neutered, fleaed, wormed, microchipped and vaccinated against Cat Flu and Enteritis before being re-homed.  This would cost in the region of £100 and we charge a fee of £50 to help us continue our work.  All cats are homed with four weeks free insurance from Petplan.
