What we do

Cats Protection has over 250 branches across the UK

These branches are run by dedicated volunteers, often from their own homes. Branches take in cats in need and ensure that they receive all the veterinary care and attention that they need to help them get back on their paws.

These are some of the activities carried out by the Peterhead and District Cats Protection Branch:

  • Assist with rehoming cats who can stay with their owners in the meantime (“home to home")
  • Helping with cat neutering costs for people on benefits or in need
  • Providing information about cats and their care
  • Manage a register of lost and found cats
  • Trapping, neutering and returning feral or farm cats Fundraising events
  • Recruitment of more volunteers
