Cats are wonderful creatures, aren't they? Its so easy to be tempted to
adopt a cute cat or kitten on impulse, then find out the hard way that
sharing a house with a cat means something of a change in lifestyle. You
are responsible for the health of another creature, for making sure
that it gets regular vaccinations, that it is wormed several times a
year and treated for fleas. If it's a kitten, its up to you to make sure
that it is neutered at five months old. You have to remember always to
have cat food in stock, and then there's the worry of vets bills in the
event of sudden illness or accidents. And what about holidays? Have you
got friends willing to take care of the cat, or can you afford the extra
cost of boarding your cat on top of the cost of your holiday? Keeping a
cat costs money and time, and we are looking for kind, responsible
people who understand this, and are willing to take into their lives a
cat or kitten that may already have lost one or more homes. When
adopting a cat from us, you should be prepared to make a donation, to
tell us about the home you want to take the cat to, and to allow a
volunteer to visit you to make sure that all is well.
If you would like to adopt a cat or cats from us, you can email us at PrestonCatsProtection@gmail.com or ring us (9- 6, Mon - Sat) on 0845 177 0708. We are looking for kind responsible homes for kittens and cats that may have already lost one or more homes. Cats in our care have been neutered, microchipped, and blood tested for FeLV and FIV. We have also started their vaccination program, and would expect the new owner to continue it. All the cats come with four weeks free PetPlan insurance. We charge a minimum £50 adoption fee for our cats, in recognition of our costs, but of course we welcome any donation that you can make above that amount. We carry out home visits for all cats homed by us.
Our hope is that every cat that we rescue and rehome lives out the rest of their years in a home where they will be loved and treasured.
