How You Can Help

We help cats and kittens in the Rayleigh, Castle Point and District area, but can you help us?  Any offer of help, whether it be a fostering place, or some goods to sell, would be appreciated so much - please don't rely on someone else to offer, we'd love to hear from you so, please, contact us today.  All Branch contacts are listed on our Contacts page, or you can send an email via this website.

FOSTERING - Please get in touch if you can look after a cat in your own home whilst we try and find a new home for him or her.  All food and vet costs will be covered.

SPONSORSHIP - Sponsoring a cat, or making a regular donation, will help us meet the costs of the cats currently in the Branch's care as well as those who will need our help at some point this year.   Please contact Chris, our Sponsorship Secretary, on sponsorship@catsrayleigh.org.uk

HOLD A FUNDRAISING EVENT - Can you hold a sponsored walk or cycle ride for us? Hold a cheese and wine party or a bring and buy sale, to raise money for the cats?  If so, please get in touch - we can supply raffle tickets and prizes, if you can supply the time and enthusiasm.

MAKE A FINANCIAL DONATION - A financial donation, of whatever value, would make a big difference to the lives of cats and kittens in the Branch's care.  To make  a donation via the website, please click here: https://www.cats.org.uk/donate?b=214

ONLINE SHOPPING - USE EASYFUNDRAISING.ORG.UK - If you go through easyfundraising.org when online shopping, we will receive a percentage donation of your purchase value - at no cost at all to you.

DONATE GOODS FOR SALE - We are able to sell:

CDs and DVDs.  Please contact Val on 01268 692457 if you can help.
Books (paperback and hardback).  Please contact Hazel on 07984 810489 if you can help.

New goods (ideally boxed) such as unused toiletries.

China, glass, unused cosmetics, collectables.

Complete jigsaw puzzles.

Unwanted gifts (your unwanted Christmas or birthday gift is someone else's treasure).

Unwanted jewellery (such as gold and silver, single earrings and broken chains all useful to us).

Craft work.

Plants (why not grow a few extra and donate them to us to sell for the cats?)

Unwanted clean clothes, handbags and paired shoes (please contact Yvonne on 01268 750831 if you have items to donate).

Please contact us if you can donate anything from the above list.

Unfortunately we cannot accept jumble, such as damaged childrens' toys, old cookware, videos, damaged books or used cosmetics.  If donated, Branch volunteers have to take the items to the recycling centre, a journey that could be better used taking a cat to the vet.
