Please think carefully before deciding to home a cat. Once you have decided the time is right to bring a cat into your family then contact us
IF YOU HAVE DECIDED TO ADOPT A CAT PLEASE CONSIDER AN OLDER CAT OR PERHAPS EVEN ONE WHO NEEDS TO TAKE MEDICATION (WE WILL COVER THE COST OF THIS). THESE CATS HAVE COME TO US THROUGH NO FAULT OF THEIR OWN - PERHAPS THEIR OWNERS HAVE DIED - THEY NEED JUST AS MUCH LOVE AND CARE AS THE YOUNGER CATS. AT 8 - 10 YEARS THESE CATS ARE ONLY HALFWAY THROUGH THEIR LIFESPAN.
What we will do when we receive your call
The homes of each prospective owner is visited by one of our home visitors. Home visits are vital to assess what type of cat would settle best in a particular home. It is also an excellent opportunity for prospective owners to discuss any concerns they have about adopting a cat or kitten so that we can provide the relevant support.
Before going to a new home every cat in our care is...
- Health-checked
- Vaccinated (2 vaccinations)
- Microchipped
- Neutered (if old enough)
- Treated for fleas and worms
All potential homes are visited before any cats are homed.
It costs the branch approximately £170 for every cat in our care. If you would like to rehome a cat, your donation will be gratefully received. It costs us approximately £50 to have the cats neutered, microchipped and 2 vaccinations.
Adoption fee
The adoption fee is £50 to help cover these costs alone. Any donations received over and above the adoption fee will be put towards the upkeep and veterinary care of our cats.
Please look through and enjoy some of our cats we have waiting to be homed. If you would like to offer a home to any of our cats or kittens, please
contact us or use the form below each cats details.
Some of the cats in our care may not yet be on our website. If you are looking for a feline companion, please call us on 0141 876 4133
