Why not consider fostering a cat?  We have some beautiful cats (some of whom are in their twilight years) who have come to us through no fault of their own.  These cats need the luxury of our home comforts very much.  Some of the cats that come into our care are there because their owners can no longer look after them, family allergies and many more reasons.  The branch would be happy to meet the costs of all veterinary care they receive.  In order to foster you must have no cats currently living at your home.  This may appeal to people who work from home, or retired people who are just looking for the love of a pet without the financial costs.
