How you can help

What we do

Most cats that come into our care have a story. Some are abandoned when their owners move, some wander off and some come to us because their owners can no longer look after them or want them anymore. Some stray cats also join us.

If we have space we will take in any cat that is in need and rehome them in the most suitable environment.

We aim to
  • Rescue stray and unwanted cats and kittens, and rehabilitate and rehome them where possible
  • Encourage the neutering of all cats and kittens
inform the public about the care of cats and kittens
  • All our volunteers are like-minded people in that they dedicate lots of their space time at weekends and after work to do everything in their power to help cats. We are always looking to welcome new volunteers into our branch to help with fostering, fundraising, home visits etc. If you are interested please contact the branch.

Fostering cats
Many of our cats are held in cat pens. These pens are kindly held by our fosterers in their own gardens. Some of our fosterers also look after our cats in their own homes (this is only advisible if you do not have cats of your own at home). A typical example of the pens used is shown below. If you are interested in helping the branch out with fostering, please find our contact details on the Contact Us page. We are always grateful for new volunteers, especially for this role.
