Volunteers needed

We currently need help in the following areas:

Trap, Neuter, Return Officer: to organise the trapping, neutering and return of cats that others are unable to do. Manage others within a team to organise the TNR scheme.

Trappers: to help in the trapping and transporting of feral cats to and from the vet.

Fundraising Officer: be able to book events, manage the fundraising diary, book volunteers and sort items to sell.  Being able to work with other people is essential for this role.

Neutering Voucher Monitor: a role involving paperwork, accounting and phone calls.

Market Stall: Help on the stall - there are a number of roles to help in.

Fosterers: We desperately need to recruit new foster carers.  We do not have the funding for a single site cattery so the only way we can operate is to run the Branch with individual foster homes. Fosterers care for cats and kittens in their own homes, or sometimes in a purpose buit cat pen with a run in their garden.    Full training and support is given and food, litter and vet costs are met by the Branch.

What do I need to be a fosterer?
A warm safe spare room where you can care for a cat, kittens or a mum and kittens for a few weeks until we find new homes for them.

Time to care.  Do vet visits and allow prospective new owners to view your foster felines.

Home Visitors: we have to carry out a home visit before we place each cat just to make sure everyone is happy with the arrangement. New home visitors are always welcome and full training and support will be given

Crafters, Bakers: Make items to sell - maybe you like making things? We can always make use of home made things to sell on our stall.
