Bonnie finds a new Home
Last autumn my wife and I lost our amiable old ginger cat " Captain " to old age. How to find another one?
Our daughter suggested that we contact the Cats Protection Leage, as she had recently adopted a pretty black and white cat called Phoebe from her local branch.
When we visited the CPL here in St Austell, we were introduced to Bonnie. We both took to Bonnie immediately, because when we were let into her pen, she came at once and boldly sat on our laps.this was good enough for us, so we adopted her, and have never regretted it. She is not much over a year old, and is rather small. she is black all over, with large green eyes. Her fur is so smooth and glossy that it feels more like nylon fun fur than the real thing. Her head is slightly elongated, which makes her look rather Egyptian.
She is a most vocal cat I have ever met. She "talks" to us all the time. This starts early in the morning when she reckons it's time we got up! (she sleeps on our bed). She never fails to remind us when it is mealtime.
Bonnie is vary much a "lap cat". Although she is finding sunny spots in the garden, now the weather is warmer, she still prefers to sit on us. As soon as one of us sits on the sofa, she is there!. This dainty little cat has brought us much humour and good company and I cannot imagine why she was abandoned by her former owners.
It has been a real pleasure to adopt her
