Fundraising

We need to fundraise so we can continue our vital work to help cats and kittens in need due to the changes since lockdown and the uncertainty it brings for the cats and kittens in our care. We receive no government, local authority or lottery funding but rely solely on the generosity of the general public.  For example, each cat in our care is given a health check, blood test, inoculations, microchip and neutered where necessary which can cost us an average of £150 per cat.

We hold a number of fundraising events over the year and these are advertised on this website and our Facebook page.  Why not come along to one of our fundraising coffee mornings, meet some of our volunteers and perhaps stay for a cuppa and one of our ever popular cakes?

We always need good, clean bric-a-brac and can collect if required (sorry, but no electrical items or clothes).

We support families to neuter their cats in these difficult times, and also families struggling to afford their pets due to circumstances i.e. loss of jobs.

We also need unwanted and unused items for prizes in our raffles and tombolas.

Our cats are very grateful for any donation to make their stay with us more comfortable, be it food, cat toys or blankets/towels

We have coin collection boxes in various local stores and shops.

Why not hold your own fundraising event together with family, friends and neighbours and donate the proceeds to the branch?  We can provide advice and a range of support materials.

Cheques should be made payable to Cats Protection, St Austell & District Branch.
