COULD YOU SEE A CAT SUFFER LIKE THE ONE IN THE PHOTO
As a charity Cats Protection rely solely on the generosity and kindness of the public to enable us to care for cats and kittens in our area.
In the past much of our fundraising has been in the form of street collections. Our voluteers were out and about in the City Centre with their collection buckets on as many as three collections a week. As you may be aware, the City Council has now decided that the maximum number of street collections that we may now do is four a year. As you can imagine this decision is going to have a massive impact on the amount of money that we can collect during the year, leaving us several thousand pounds short of the amount that we need to continue to care for the cats and kittens in our area.
To avoid having to reduce the number of cats and kittens that we help, we are actively looking at other ways to raise funds to be able to continue our work.
We will continue to do Store collections throughout the area, and we will be doing regular Carboot Sales and Tabletop Sales, details of which can be found on the events page of the Website. We will also have stalls at fetes and fayres, details of these can also be found on the events page.
Can you help us continue our work by;
- Donating,
Good quality Bric-a-Brac
DVD's and CD's
Unwanted Gifts
All of these items can be used by us to raise funds.
- Holding an event yourself, this can be anything from a coffee morning to a casino night!
If you need any ideas or further information give the fundraising officer a ring.
- Do you know of an organisation holding an event such as a fete where we may be able to have a stall. Please contact the fundraising officer with details of the event.
- Do you have contacts with an organisation that may be willing to fundraise on our behalf
- Paws Outdoors, June is Paws Outdoors month. Can you hold an event outdoors to raise money for Cats Protection. Choose a venue, you don't have to limit your event to the garden, how about the local park or other open space. Or you could decorate the indoors to look like the outdoors to make up for a lack of outdoor space, or bad weather! Enjoy a tea party or a teddy bear's picnic, let your imagination run wild! For further information or to order a free fundraising pack please contact the fundraising officer..
If you can help in any way, or if you want further information about our fundraising efforts, please contact the fundraising officer, Margaret, on 07842286382.
Thank you for your continuing support and generosity.
