I would like to thank Solway Books for supporting our fundraising efforts during the festive season. After doing two stalls at Wigtown and Kirkcowan Primary School, we were left with some handcrafted goods that myself and my neighbour make for our events. Bev from Solway Books offered to take these goods and display them in her shop in Kirkcudbright.

Solway Books hosts several feature evenings in the run up to Christmas and Bev felt that our goods would enhance her events. She is hosting Belties of Curly Wee Farm Day on Saturday 17th December and will be selling some of our things then. There are a lot of events being hosted at various shops in Kirkcudbright on Saturday and would be worth a visit if you are at a lose end.

To date, Solway Books has sold over £150 of goods for us and they still have more of our stock to sell! They have given Cats Protection a lot of promotion, Bev said people were very generous when they knew our charity was getting the profits. All sales are going to Cats Protection, Bev is not charging us any commission and is giving us a lot of publicity. So, if you're in Kirkcudbright, pay Solway Books a call, there may be some of our products left to buy, I'll let you know if we can get the final takings a little higher.
