Volunteering

CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS!
We desperately need more help with fundraising, events, administration and welfare. If you can spare some time and would like to apply for one of these roles, please contact us on: suttoncats@hotmail.co.uk

We are sorry that we do not have the opportunity to work with cats as our cats are fostered in the homes of our fosterers and we do not have a rescue centre. If you are interested in hands-on experience please try Cats Protection Homing Centre in Mitcham.

Fundraising Events Organiser
As a Fundraising Events Organiser, you will play a key role in co-ordinating, motivating and supporting local volunteers in raising those all-important funds. Cats in our care rely on generous donations from people who love cats and count on volunteers like you to make those donations happen. You will lead volunteers in a variety of fundraising events and activities raising much needed funds for cats in your area.

Cat Fosterer
Cats Protection helps thousands of cats across the UK each year thanks to our network of dedicated volunteers. As a fosterer you will be directly helping cats and kittens in need; providing them with hands on care and working with others
to rehome them, ultimately, providing them with a second chance of a happy and healthy life.

Cat Fosterer Support
Could you help support the Fosterers by transporting cats to and from the vets and collecting stray cats and delivering them to the vets.  This would be on an ad hoc basis and you can decide how much time you are able to spare.

Education Speaker
As an Education Speaker you will act as an ambassador for Cats Protection and play a key role in raising awareness of how the charity makes a big difference to the lives of thousands of cats and kittens in need each year. You will inspire others, develop learning and understanding of feline welfare and be the voice for cats in your community.

Publicist
Do you have contacts in the local press? If so we would love your help to maximise our coverage in the local papers and radio by creating press releases and contacting journalists.

Volunteer Secretary

At Cats Protection we help thousands of cats and kittens each year thanks to our dedicated volunteer groups. These groups of passionate individuals all help our feline friends in different ways. They take in stray and abandoned cats and ensure they receive the veterinary care and attention they deserve, help raise funds, promote neutering and help spread cat welfare messages. Our volunteer secretaries provide the support that helps our volunteer groups run smoothly. They make a real difference to the lives of our feline friends by helping maintain positive communications, supporting others, promoting the work of Cats Protection and signposting queries from members of the public.

Volunteer events fundraiser

As a charity we can continue to help cats and kittens in need thanks to the donations we receive at fundraising events from generous members of the public. Our events fundraisers have the exciting and varied role of helping plan and deliver local fundraising events. They support a team of fundraising volunteers who come together to raise the vital funds needed to help our feline friends in need. They use their passion for cats and people to plan cakes sales, barn dances, quiz nights – and everything in between!

Volunteer fosterer

Across Cats Protection there are thousands of cats and kittens needing temporary homes until they find their forever families. Many of our feline friends are cared for by volunteer fosterers in their homes or in purpose built pens in their gardens. Most of our volunteer fosterers care for one or two cats at a time, which makes a huge difference and gives these cats a second chance at a happy life. They provide vital hands on care and accommodation to stray, abandoned or injured cats and are part of a dedicated team of volunteers committed to finding new homes for cats in need.
