Trekfest - The Brecon Beacons -25km
The Brecon Beacons run through the centre of South Wales and are the training ground of the SAS. As you can imagine, The Beacons routes will provide you with an extreme physical workout and a psychologically taxing challenge, crossing the highest peaks in South Wales including Pen y Fan (886 miles), Corn Du (873 miles), Cribyn (795 miles) and Fan y Big (719 miles) – we can guarantee a spectacular charity challenge!
Taking on TrekFest is no mean feat, but the challenge is simple – every trekker aims to complete one of the four brand new distances. There is no getting away from the fact that TrekFest is tough; but it is achievable, as around 1,500 trekkers from 2015 will tell you.
It hurts; it will push you; there are moments when you will doubt yourself, but you can and will succeed with the right physical training and mental preparation.
You can register as a team and support each other or register as an individual and the fantastic TrekFest crew will support you.
The TrekFest Village
The 'TrekFest Village' will be at the start of the Brecon Beacons route, with loads of facilities available for participants – showers, camping plots and hot served food regularly. All the challenge routes will start and finish at the village.
You are welcome to camp on the Friday night before your challenge. Hot food will be available to buy and tents, caravans and campervans are welcome, so bring the family and make a weekend of it!
