Stoke on Trent campaign

Cats Protection and the RSPCA are launching an initiative in the Potteries to help owners improve the lives of their pets.

For a limited time, owners living in the area ST1-14 will be able to have their cat neutered free of charge.

To qualify, owners will need to be on a low income or state benefit and be able to provide proof of this, as well as of their identity, when they attend the vet’s surgery. The offer begins on November the 1st and lasts until funds for 2000 cats to be neutered have run out.

The offer is also available for long-term stray cats which you have been feeding and where extensive efforts have been made to find an owner. You will need to have placed a temporary collar (paper or thin card) round the cat’s neck for at one week, with a message asking the cat’s owner to contact you, which will help ensure it really is a stray, before the cat can be neutered.

The following vets in the area have been provided with paperwork to run the scheme. Please contact the vet directly – you do not need to call us first!

Our campaign hotline is 03000 12 12 12 if you need help to find your participating vet.
