Cats Protection advise neutering your cat at four months of age or younger. Find out more about kitten neutering.

Did you know that neutering your cat at four months or younger is advisable to avoid unwanted pregnancies? Often cats are neutered too late in life which unfortunately contributes to the number of unwanted cats in the UK.

If you don’t want to find yourself with extra cats and extra cost, we recommend that your pet cat is neutered at four months of age or younger. It is important that the procedure is done before the cat begins puberty as this is when they're able to mate.
