New Shop Grand Opening

05 April 2014
New Shop Grand Opening Here at Wolverhampton Cats Protection, we've been on the hunt for a new home for our shop for the last couple of years, as the lease at 54 Warstones Road expired last month.

And now, after many months of searching, endless viewings and plenty of negotiations, we have finally secured a new premises and it couldn’t be better for us. The new shop is just two minutes walk around the corner from our old location.

We’re now just putting the final touches together inside, and preparing for our opening at 7 Warstones Drive, Penn WV4 4PP – if you know the area, it’s the old Geeves dry cleaners shop, next door to Select and Save. New Shop Map

The old shop has now closed, and we are proud to announce that our wonderful new shop will be unveiled at a Grand Opening this coming Tuesday 8th April. We’re also delighted that Tom Bingham of Walpole & Bingham Veterinary Surgeons (a longstanding local veterinary practice who we’ve had close links with for many years) will be our guest of honour, and he’ll be officially opening the shop at 10am on Tuesday.

The premises has been a whirlwind of activity over the last month or so as we’ve completely gutted and refitted it to serve us long into the future - as our primary source of income, our charity shop is the engine behind our Branch, and we rely on it to enable us to do our work in the local community.

And the new shop is just perfect for us as the rear entrance opens onto the back car park, making it easy for anyone to park up and drop off donations - we have a big sign at the back so you can’t miss it, just ring the bell and our volunteers will welcome you with a smile and a ‘thank you’. We’ve fitted a changing room so customers are able to ‘try before they buy’, and as always, we have a fantastic range of clothing for all shapes and sizes, shoes, accessories, trinkets and bric-a-brac, books, DVDs, games, toys, and much, much more.

We’d like to say thank you to our shop manager and all the volunteers who’ve worked so hard over the last few weeks to bring everything together, and we can’t wait for you all to come and see what they’ve achieved. We hope to see you in our new shop soon!
