Cats Protection's Nine Mile Challenge
Help us give cats and kittens their lives back by challenging yourself this September to raise funds for Cats Protection.
You can walk, trek or hike your way to 9 miles success or if you fancy picking up the pace then why not make it a run?
Either way you can spread your challenge across the month to suit you so whether it's a daily jog or one big expedition, your steps will help cats in need get back on their paws. Make like a cat and roam-free!
Register your interest to run!
Register your interest to trek!
We’ll give you plenty of help with planners, sponsorship forms and some beautiful walks around the country and you can also join our Facebook group so you can share ideas and inspiration with your fellow roamers.
Raise £50 or more and we’ll send you a certificate and an exclusive roamers badge and if you raise over £100 you’ll get an extra special badge.
We understand the commitment, courage and thought that goes into participating in a challenge on behalf of Cats Protection and promise we will do our very best to give you all the help and support you need to have a successful challenge and raise lots of much-needed funds to help us care for cats and kittens.
It's up to you! Decide if you want to do your nine miles all in one go - across a weekend or accross the whole month
Frequently asked questions
How will my money help?
The money you raise will help thousands of cats and kittens have a chance of health and happiness.
£5 could pay for a blood test to help diagnose conditions like diabetes and leukaemia
£10 we could pay for 10 days' worth of specialist milk to hand-feed an orphaned kitten
£50 could provide five traumatised cats with bedding and a safe place to sleep
£100 could feed five cats in our care until they are ready to go their new home
£150 could provide a full health-check for a cat including blood tests, neutering, microchipping and inoculations
Is there a registration fee or minimum sponsorship?
No, the Nine Mile Challenge is free to take part in. But we need you to raise as much as you can so you can help us care for as many cats and kittens as possible.
Can I support my local branch or adoption centre?
Absolutely! When you register you are able to choose any of our branches or centres to support and they will receive all the money you raise.
Any tips for raising sponsorship?
If five friends donate £1 a mile that’s enough to provide a cat in our care with:
Bedding and a safe place to sleep
Food until they are ready to go home
Deworming and vaccination
