The People's Friend supports us again in 2019

We are pleased to announce that we have been chosen to benefit from
The People’s Friend Love Darg appeal again this year. After the success of last year, we are hoping that we will have even more fantastic knitted and crocheted items sent to us to help the many cats in our care.
Love Darg, meaning a day’s work done for love, is
The People’s Friend magazine’s annual charity appeal. Over the years the Love Darg developed into a nationwide charity appeal that saw Friend readers make and donate thousands of gifts which were distributed to hospitals, children’s homes and hospices the length and breadth of the UK.
This year readers are being encouraged to knit sweetie cat toys and crocheted fish cat toys in the August 24 edition (on sale August 21) and knit or crochet square comforters in the August 31 edition, on sale August 28. The square comforters will be used for the cats in our care. We have asked readers to follow the safety instructions so our cats are able to use the knitted or crocheted squares and so that the toys can be used/sold, so we advise just checking the items once received to make sure they’re okay.

The toy patterns will be up shortly. The sweetie toys and fish toys will be sold in our charity shops to raise funds for our work.
