Christmas at Axhayes

This year at Axhayes we have:

Annual Christmas coffee morning to be held on the 30th November 11am - 2pm.

There will be lots of festive cakes, hot drinks, christmas goods for sale and tombola/raffle.
Come on down and treat yourself to a festive bake, get your christmas cards sorted and maybe even find a cat to adopt.

Kittmas Krafternoon on 8th December 10.30am - 1pm (booking in advance essential)

Join us for a fun crafting workshop run by local craft tutor Lyndsey Harvey to decorate a festive plaque - all materials provided. You can book your place for the event at www.cats.org.uk/kittmas - £25 per person.

Santa Paws Appeal

We still have lots of cats and kittens in care over the Christmas period waiting to go their new homes, you can help make their time special by donating a box of goodies to be opened on christmas day.
Anything you can donate to us for the santa paws appeal will be greatly appreciated. Here are some idea to get you started on what we require at the centre for the cats:
  • Toys
  • Puzzle feeders
  • Food pouches and packs of biscuits
  • Tuna tins in oil
  • Pill pocket treats/easy pill treats (can be found on amazon)
  • Disposable scratching posts
  • Blankets

You can drop your presents into the centre or we also have collection bins at St Davids Exminster vet clinic, St Davids vet clinic at the station and the Sainsbury's on Pinhoe road.
Of course some cats will be more interested in the box the goodies came in than the present inside! Our staff also appreciate any treats (biscuits/chocolates) that are donated for them to keep them going through the winter period.

If you are visiting our centre in December please put some spare change in our collection buckets to go towards our cats Christmas dinners. We always treat our cats in care to a turkey dinner on Christmas day and your donations can help us do this again this year. Any contribution is greatly appreciated.

We are also selling calanders and cards in the centre throughout November and December.

The centre will be closed on Christmas day, Boxing day and New years day. We will have an extended reservation period over Christmas and the New Year to allow for those going away or that have a busy household - this is at managements discretion.
