Could you be a Cats Protection Cat Fosterer and make a difference to cats' lives?

Could you be a Cats Protection Cat Fosterer and make a difference to cats

It is a sad fact that there are always more cats needing to come into our care than we have foster spaces for, so we always have a waiting list. We really need some additional volunteer cat fosterers so that we can take in and rehome more cats. Could you help us?

To be a fosterer for the branch you either need to have a spare room (as we don’t let foster cats mix with our own cats or let them out of the house), or have no cats of your own. If you do have your own cats, they need to have up to date vaccinations and be neutered. You need to live in our branch’s area (post codes SS11 to SS17, CM 11 to CM15) and have transport, as you will need to take your foster cats to our vets for vaccinations etc and bring them to our Homing Shows. We provide all the equipment, food and litter you will need, and pay for any vet treatments. You provide your time and TLC for your foster cats. There is some paperwork to do and our charity’s guidelines to follow, but full training and support is given by the branch. It is very satisfying to see your foster cat go off to its new home, knowing that you have made such a difference to their life.

To find out more about what is involved, please give us a call on 01268 285778 or email us at treasurer@bascats.org.uk. Alternatively why not pop along for a chat at one of our Cat Homing Shows (dates are in our events list) at Steepleview Community Hall, Willowfield, Laindon SS15 4EQ, between 11.30am and 12.30 pm

We look forward to hearing from you
