Help with Neutering
It's that time of year when we start getting inundated with requests to take in pregnant cats and kittens, either because they've been abandoned or their owners can't cope or can't rehome them themselves.
We can supply a part payment neutering voucher, worth £40 towards the cost of a female, and £25 towards a male, which you can use at any vet - you just pay the extra. Depending on which vet you use, this could leave you with very little to pay. They are aimed at people on low income, but you don't have to be on benefits. You must live in the area our branch covers with the following postcodes: RG7 Burghfield & Mortimer RG21, RG22, RG23, RG24, RG25, RG26, RG27, RG29. If you are outside of these postcodes your local branch might be able to help.
If you are on benefits, you can also get a voucher from the RSPCA shop in Basingstoke - you pay £16 for a female and £12 for a male - this is only on certain Saturday mornings, so contact them for more details.
Your cats can get pregnant from 4 months old and they don't care if they're related! It's just as important to get your male cat done to stop him from wandering, spraying, fighting and getting infected with FIV. Indoor cats also need neutering.
If you would like one of our vouchers, phone us on 01256 584544, or email firstname.lastname@example.org .
