Cats Protection attends the Landlord Investment Show in Birmingham
28 May 2019
The Advocacy team from Cats Protection’s head office, along with our cat care volunteer Alice, recently attended the Landlord Investment Show at Aston Villa Football Club to promote the Purrfect Landlords campaign.
Many landlords have a standard ‘no pets’ policy in their tenancy agreements, which can put off potential tenants who own pets. The Purrfect Landlords campaign aims to raise awareness of why cats can make perfect lodgers and therefore attract a whole pool of responsible tenants.
Alice was on hand to answer any questions relating cat care and welfare, she said:
“It was an interesting day and we were there to promote the benefits of landlords allowing tenants to have cats. Quite a few landlords who originally had a flat out ‘no pets’ policy came and chatted and took away some information as well as discussing clauses that could go into tenancy agreements. The Advocacy team also did a talk, which was really successful, as those who attended came to the stand afterwards to get more details.”
