Enquire. If you’ve found a cat on our website that you’re interested in homing, send an enquiry through using our contact form or call our helpline 01258 858644 Please read the cats information and make sure you meet the requirements before calling - if we say no cats or a quite home etc. we do mean it.
Reserve your cat. If you’re found to be a match for your chosen cat, we will call you. You may be asked for proof of your address and the consent of your landlord (if you live in a rented property). In this call, you’ll have a chance to discuss everything you need to know about your cat and we will have a chat with you to make sure you have thought about everything and have everything in place to take the cat on.

Adopt. Once you have reserved your cat, you can make arrangements to go an visit the cat we will either email the paperwork for you to sign, or the fosterer will complete it when you go to pick up the cat. You’ll then pay an adoption fee of £85 for a cat and £105 for a kitten usually by bank transfer, cheque or cash, if you would like to add a donation this would be welcome but not obligatory.
Visit. Our fosterers are happy for you to visit the cats in our care if the paperwork has been completed and the fee paid and you have everything ready you would be able to take it home at that time, if you need time to think about it that would be no problem.
Bringing your cat home. You need to be able to pick up your chosen cat and would need to have a secure cat basket to take your cat home in.
Be supported. You’ll receive a follow-up call or email around three, seven and 21 days after the adoption to check that your new arrival has settled in. You can also find help and advice on the Cats Protection website at www.cats.org.uk/advice
