Ringo reunited with owner after five years as a stray

As well as finding loving new homes for 43,000 cats and kittens in 2017, Cats Protection also helped to reunite 3,000 lost cats with their relieved owners. One of these lucky cats was Ringo, a gorgeous ginger puss who had been living on the streets as a stray for five years.

Ginger moggy’s coach ride takes him 100 miles from home

Cats Protection is hoping to track down the owners of a gorgeous ginger cat found on a coach in Newcastle. The coach had travelled from Pickering in North Yorkshire, making a brief stop at Leeming Bar, but it is not known at which point the moggy got on board

Kitty reunited with owner after losing her tail in a terrible ordeal

Tabby-and-white cat Kitty is now safely back home with her relieved owner after suffering a nasty injury to her tail. It is thought she had been attacked, possibly by a fox, and was found cowering beneath bushes in Leigh.

When Tosha the cat went missing in Crawley, West Sussex in 2007, his owners feared the worst. Natasha and David Lewington had left their beloved moggy in the care of a family friend in Maidenbower while they were working overseas, but when they returned home he was nowhere to be seen.

Desmond returns after being found 195 miles from home

Desmond the tabby cat is ready to spend Christmas at home in Kenilworth, Warwickshire, after spending three months as a stray in North Devon. The seven-year-old moggy was on holiday with his owners Jim and Mary Hall when he went missing in September.
