Willow is happy at home after surviving a traumatic journey

In August 2017, a tiny black kitten arrived at Cats Protection’s Bridgend Adoption Centre in a desperate state. Poor Willow, as the centre staff named her, had been found hiding in the back of a lorry that had travelled all the way from Bristol.

A lucky escape for Peanut

In autumn 2015 a sorry little tabby-and-white-cat was handed into our local vets by a concerned cat lover. It was a young, neglected male kitten who had been found in a gutter in Shepton Mallet with his leg trapped in a drain.

While busy with chores, Elspeth Rijbroek, newsletter editor at the Guildford & Godalming Branch spotted a box, discarded at the side of a noisy road. At first she thought it was just litter, but then she noticed a tail sticking out of it. Rushing over, she found two cute, scared little kittens.

A family in North Birmingham was recently surprised to find a cat and her newly born kittens under decking in their garden. Julie and Stephen from the Yardley Wood area of Birmingham found the young tortie and her kittens after their pet dog kept whining and crying at a particular spot in their garden.
