
Cats Protection’s Anglia Coastal Branch is marking five years of caring for cats, despite COVID-19 restrictions stopping their plans for a party and fundraising fair.

“It’s a really sad story,” said Lynne Pothecary, Publicity Manager at Cats Protection’s Anglia Coastal Branch. “Baggy’s owner didn’t want to relinquish her but she had to move home and couldn’t bring her cat with her. She was devastated when she heard that her new landlord had a no-pets policy.”

Cats Protection is appealing for help to fund expensive ear operations for two cats in its care, so they can go on to find their loving forever homes.

Cats Protection’s Anglia Coastal Branch is hoping that 2020 will be the year poor Tulip the cat’s luck changes. The eight-year-old torbie – a beautiful blend of tortoiseshell and tabby – has been in the branch’s care for more than three months, waiting patiently for a new home of her own.

A group of five tiny kittens are recovering in the care of Cats Protection after being found dumped in the Norfolk countryside. They were found on Friday 6 September, semi-comatose and covered in manure beside a cat carrier in a hedge near the village of Thurlton.

Angel came into our care after her owner had to move away for work and couldn’t take her with her. A vet check showed she was healthy but she didn’t like being stroked for long and would suddenly lash out when she was feeling anxious.
