Cats Protection’s Cat Guardians service finds new homes for cats whose owners have sadly died, no matter how old they are

Tracie Atkin was inspired to change her lifestyle and career when someone new came into her life – her cat Bella. Having worked in banking and insurance for many years, Tracie began working from home as a mortgage adviser and decided to get a cat for company.

Cats Protection volunteers have been caring for a stray cat found with half of his tail hanging off. The moggy, who has been named Bobcat, was reported to the Gwent Branch by a kind member of the public who found him in Blackwood on 5 March 2019.

Through no fault of their own, some moggies get overlooked time and time again – perhaps because they’re older, a little shy or have special medical needs.

As well as finding loving new homes for 43,000 cats and kittens in 2017, Cats Protection also helped to reunite 3,000 lost cats with their relieved owners. One of these lucky cats was Ringo, a gorgeous ginger puss who had been living on the streets as a stray for five years.

Cats Protection’s Exeter Axhayes Adoption Centre has received a kind donation for the cats in their care from local schoolgirl Evie Carpenter, who has been raising money by selling homemade keyring charms.

Queenie arrived at Cats Protection Exeter Axhayes Adoption Centre in late 2015. She was a beautiful long haired white cat, who could resist her elegance and charm?!

When three-and-a-half-year-old Panjo was found living in a shed in July 2014, she was in a terrible condition – her skin was sore and weepy all over her body.

Staff at Cats Protection’s Exeter Axhayes Adoption Centre are delighted by the public’s response to an appeal for help to give a cat a much-needed operation.

Our Exeter Axhayes Adoption Centre is searching for a new owner for a cat that lost his foster home in a flood. Felix, who has been in the centre’s care for a year, was until recently enjoying home life with Fosterer Diane.
