Diary of a teenage fosterer #5

It’s time for me to say a reluctant goodbye to Honey, Harissa, Hazelnut, Halloumi and Herbie. Mum Honey’s kittens are now eight weeks old and looking back at photos we have taken it is amazing to see how much they have grown since they came to us six weeks ago.

Fancy fostering cats?

Cats Protection branches don’t have physical locations and are run by volunteers who carry out their roles from their own homes. So we rely on fosterers to care for cats in their own homes too, giving cats in need a temporary home, love, care and affection until they find a new family.

As you’re reading this, hundreds of cat fosterers around the country have a little furry lodger enjoying the care and comfort of their home. Without these volunteers, Cats Protection just wouldn’t be able to help the number of cats and kittens that they currently do.

A day in the life of a Cats Protection fosterer

I joined Cats Protection in February 2013 to help out at table top sales and with neutering calls, but upon listening to other fosterers from the Preston Branch talking of their experiences, I felt it was something I would really like to do.
