Tiny kittens dumped in a derelict caravan find new homes

Three five-week-old kittens that were dumped in a derelict caravan by the River Great Ouse have recovered from their ordeal and found new owners. The team at Cats Protection’s Downham Market Adoption Centre were alerted to the kittens on 1 July by workers who were carrying out maintenance at the end of the charity’s property.

Donations needed for injured kitten rescued from a car engine

A kitten found hiding in a car engine is on the long road to recovery after having a leg amputated and ear tips removed. Named Inky by vets, the black 10-week-old kitten had suffered a complicated break to his right foreleg and his ears had also been singed.

Tiny kitten thrown from car makes miracle survival

A tiny female kitten thrown out of a moving car in Hull is recovering in the care of Cats Protection. The six-week-old black kitten was thrown out of a silver Vauxhall Astra on the A165 near Long Riston in Hull on the evening of Tuesday 11 June.

Saffi the rescue kitten celebrates 22nd birthday

A scrawny kitten found abandoned at the former Blyth Power Station in Northumberland in 1997 is celebrating reaching the grand old age of 22. Saffi was rescued by Cats Protection when she was just four weeks old and placed in the care of a fosterer in Ashington.

Miracle kitten survives two weeks alone in freezing weather
